OUR STORY
PBA Produce is a family owned business dedicated to providing safe, high-quality produce with integrity, trust and a focus on customer satisfaction. Our story began in 1957, when Doyle French opened French’s Hardware in Durango, Colorado, instilling values of hard work, service and community. His son, John French, carried those values into the produce industry and founded PBA Produce in Phoenix, Arizona in 1991.
As the business grew, John’s wife, Linda French, joined to manage accounting, compliance and the many roles that come with a family business. Their children also pitched in, with Brooks French starting in the warehouse as a teenager before joining full time in 2005. Over the years, Brooks worked in every aspect of the business, developing a reputation for doing whatever it takes to get the job done right.
Today, PBA has grown into a trusted partner for some of Arizona’s largest food service providers, offering hundreds of SKUs and expanding each year. In 2022, John retired and passed ownership to Linda and Brooks, who now proudly lead the company. With a focus on food safety, traceability and strong relationships, PBA continues to honor its 67-year legacy while building for the future.
